A volunteer writes “Natalya was very calm inside her cage as I approached her and accepted the leash gracefully. When we got onto the street she pulled forward, but was manageable. When we walked around the park she became considerably calmer. She has a beautiful soft brindle coat and gladly receives all petting. She shows great potential!”
Another writes: Natalya’s pictures do not do her justice. Look at her in her kennel…A statue carved in a very rare marble, elegant, serene looking, pristine…a beautiful young lady. Once out of her den, she pulls, is wary and keeps a tail between her legs. Her eyes avoid mine, most of the time. I know she is a good girl and she lets me put a bow around her neck. She does not want my treats and barely touched her food carton. She is pretty lost here at the care center. She has clearly been very well cared for and it is tough for her to fall perfectly straight on her four in a totally different environment. At least, for now. Natalya does not really come when called but is aware of me as well as all what is going on around her. She relaxes a little during “our session”. Her tail comes slightly up and she even sits on command. Natalya definitively lightens up in the street and even more as we distance ourselves from the care center…A stroll might remind her of …home…She does her business, does not appear troubled by passing peers and sometimes looks at me with more confidence . I am looking forward to meet Natalya again but I will not be disappointed if I am told that she left us to start a new life…with you… Natalya is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for you..
