01/11/16 17:35 Mama entered the office with a loose body and wagging tail. She would bark at the dog on the other side of the office but with her tail wagging and a wiggly body. She solicited attention from the counselor. She does take treats a little rough biting the counselor’s fingers when taking a treat but did not show any concern for resource guarding. Mama had a wound on her stomach and she allowed the counselor to roll her over and examine the wound. She also allowed photos and collaring. She maintained a friendly demeanor and did not show any behavior concern during the admissions process.

01/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper dog: A1058600 Mama came in as a stray, so her past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Mama had loose posture and was friendly, she allowed all handling. During SAFER Mama came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, she was friendly and affectionate towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Mama was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Mama was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Mama appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels she can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds.
