01/28/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
01/28/17 12:13 Basic information: Malone is estimated to be about 2 years old. Her previous owner found her outside his home 2 months ago. He inteded on keeping her but found out he isnt allowed to have pets where he lives. Malone has no known injuries or health problems but has not been to a vet. Socialization: Around strangers Malone is friendly and outgoing and when she plays with adults she is exuberant. She’s spent time with other dogs outside and is said to be very playful and exuberant at play. Behavior: Malone has never attempted to bite a person or animal. She is friendly if a toy is taken from her, she becomes very playful. She isnt bothered if she is given a bath, if her paws are touched, or if she is disturbed while sleeping. She was not allowed on furniture. She is friendly if she is restrained or held. For a New Family to Know: Malone is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, with a high activity level. She likes to play with balls and squeaky toys. She ate both wet and dry food and was kept indoors. At night she slept on a dog bed. She is house trained and only had accidents if not walked. She is well behaved when left alone indoors. She knows the cues sit and down. For exercise she was taken on brisk walks 2 tmes daily. On leash she pulls lightly. Off leash she wanders but comes when called. Behavior during intake: Malone was very exuberant and playful. She jumped up to greet and gave kisses. She had a relaxed body and wagging tail. She sat on command. sha allowed me to pet her, collar her, pick her up, and went into her kennel easily. She showed no signs of aggression.
01/31/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Young Malone is with us for no fault of her own but because of housing issues. She has been beautifully cared for, comes with lovely comments from her previous owner and at least in looks, seems to have been prepped to compete in the Westminster Show. Malone is petite and girly, close to be what is called a “Pocket Pittie”. She is full of energy, a real “Jack in the Box”, springing out of her kennel and ready to meet the world. She does not pull that much on the leash, though, and does her business at once as we exit the building. The real Malone is really a pooch, leash-free in a pen. Get a ball, a toy, treats and you will see in action Miss 100,000 volts. She is so fast, so aware and can do a few things at the same time, like catching a ball, gulping a treat, sitting on command and pulling at a rope. She does not “guard” her stuff. She is one amazing and efficient multitasking gal who knows how to enjoy life. I should not forget to mention that Malone is a very sweet girl. She comes when called, hops on the bench, gets a jerky and thanks me with loads of kisses on my face. Malone is fun, friendly, sociable, affectionate and very playful. She would love, I bet, an active person or family, long walks in the park, toys galore and mostly the warmth of a forever home. Come and meet Malone at the Manhattan Care Center. She so wants to be yours.
