Medical Summary 05/03/17 DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 10 yrs Microchip noted on Intake? No. History : Found in an apartment building, no medical concerns known. Subjective: Observed Behavior – Quiet and calm, wants to be picked up. Allows all handling. . Objective: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. P = 116 R = pant BCS=7/9. ORAL: Mod calculus, gingivitis. EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted. Mild nuclear sclerosis OU. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: Trachea sensitive on palpation, elicts dry, honking cough. Lungs clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias. No dyspnea. ABD: Non painful, no masses/organomegaly palpated. U/G: Female, spay scar and linear green tatoo on ventral abdomen. MS: Ambulatory x 4, no lameness. Gr2/4 medial patellar luxation right stifle. INTEG: Full, clean haircoat. Skin free of parasites, no masses noted. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. A: Approx. 10 yr old spayed female dog. Cough on tracheal palpation – Tdx Collapsing trachea. Medial patellar luxation R stifle. Dental disease. P: Monitor while at BACC. Good prognosis with appropriate care. Might need cough suppressants or other therapy if tracheal collapse becomes problematic.
