05/05/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/05/16 16:40 Maddie A1072602 was found trapped on the Cross Bronx Expressway. The finder and a friend of hers were driving and saw her wedged between two pillars. They wrapped her up in a childs jacket. She stated that Maddie was very afraid and snapped at first but once wrapped in the blanket, she relaxed. Maddie yelped when picked up and appears to have a swollen right front paw. Behavior during intake Maddie was very nervous upon intake but calmed down when she was transferred into a thick towel. She layed on her side and yelped when her back was touched. She was scanned(-) and collared and tolerated all handling. She was carried and placed inside of the kennel.

05/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Maddie came to us as a stray, so we have no behavior information other than what has been observed while in the shelter environment. Due to the possibility of discomfort as a result of the handling, her overall medical condition, and our desire to decrease stress in the care center, we believe that Maddie is not a good candidate for SAFER at this time. However, Maddie did allow all handling during her medical exam without displaying any concerning behavior, despite her painful condition.
