Bella does not have any health concerns. SOCIALIZATION Bella is friendly around strangers. She has lived with a 12 and 2 year old and she was very friendly with the children and played gentle with them. Bella plays gentle with adults too. Bella has never lived with another dog, but when she sees one, she tries to greet them. Bella has never bitten anyone. BEHAVIOR Bella does not have any behavior issues. She is not bothered by loud noises or thunder. she allows you to take away her food bowl, water bowl, or toy away. Bella allows you to bathe her. She is quiet if a stranger approaches the doorway. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Bella is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a very high activity level. When home, Bella follows you around. Bella enjoys playing with rope toys. Bella likes to play tug. She has been kept mostly indoors. She sleeps on a doggy bed. Bella is fed Alpo dry food. She is very house trained and prefers to go on dirt. When left aslone, she is well behaved. She listens to the command sit. For exercise she is walked on the leash. she does pull. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Bella allowed all handling, collaring and photos.

Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog aroused quickly, jumps on assessor mid-game, grabs leash, but relinquishes easily. Squeeze 1 / 2: 2. Dog gently places her open mouth over the Assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Toy 1. Dog playfully engages, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Summary: Bella jumped up and slightly mouthed assessor but was easily redirected, she displayed no concerns. PLAYGROUP: Bella was brought in as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown. When off leash at the Care Center, Bella engages in gentle play with male and female dogs. She shows slightly assertive behavior but is able to relax as the session continues and continues to play. The Behavior Department recommends a dog-dog interaction be conducted with any potential adopters’ dog to make sure they are comfortable with her playful behavior. Since returning to the Care Center. Bella greets a male dog with a loose body and wagging tail. She is bouncy and engages in gentle chase play with him. According to Bella’s previous owner, Bella has never lived with another dog, but when she sees one, she tries to greet them. During Bella’s first stay at the Care Center, Bella engages in gentle play with male and female dogs, occasionally displaying slight assertive behavior. Upon her return to the Care Center, Bella continues to engage in gentle play with male and female dogs. The Behavior Department recommends a dog-dog interaction be conducted with any potential adopters’ dog to make sure they are comfortable with her playful behavior. 11/20: Bella greets a male dog with a loose body and wagging tail. She is bouncy and engages in gentle chase play with him. 11/22-11/26: Bella engages in gentle play in a group of male and female dogs.
