05/21/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Pretty and girly….Here comes Ms Luna, a lovely one year old gal, very close to puppy hood in looks and actions…She knows how to charm a crowd with her engaging smile, her bright eyes and rabbit’s ears lined with pink silk. She can be serious and melo too…A great lap dog she is, making sure my face is well washed with her kisses…Luna is all excited in her den jumping high and all eyes on you, the potential caretaker. She does not belong to a kennel and the green grass is the perfect hang out for her as long as she has a friend to play with. She attracts so many admirers in the street and in the yard. Mother nature and good care have made of her a very beautiful and attractive young dog. Lots of people want to take her picture…Luna is very energetic and very much like a busy little butterfly who butinates flowers, one after the other…She loves toys and balls, runs and jumps high to catch them. She does not guard and she does not usually mouth. She can sit on command, for treats and stuff. She pulls on the leash and does her business on the way. She is all excited to see other dogs and very much wants to meet, even play bowing in the street. Luna is a real pleasure for the eyes and a fun pup to spend time with. Although she was surrendered because her family moved to another country, not much information was left about her…Ms Luna is a little beauty, a lively, happy, loving and playful gal , full of energy that will have to be channelled through lots of walks and activities during her young years. Luna is waiting for her new master and teacher at the Manhattan Care Center.

The behavior department recommends slow, supervised introductions between Luna and respectful dogs. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 5/18/17 During her initial medical exam, Luna was active, social, and allowed handling. ENERGY LEVEL: We have no history on Luna so we cannot be certain of her behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised.
