I am a neutered male cream parson russ ter and chihuahua sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 02/19/2016 from NY 10472, owner surrender reason stated was NO TIME.

02/19/16 19:40 Basic Info: Lucky Charms A1065566 is a 4yr old neutered male Jack Russell Terrier/short haired Chihuahua mix who was found as a stray a year ago and is being surrendered due to the owner not having time for him. He was last seen at a vet a few months ago to be neutered/vaccinated & currently has a history with seizures his last one being 2 months ago (he hasn’t been to a vet for this ailment)> Socialization: Around strangers Lucky Charms is friendly/outgoing. He’s lived with children ages 9, 11 & 15yrs old and he’s gentle, exuberant, relaxed & playful with them also with the adults in the home. There are also turtles & birds in the home though he hasn’t interacted with them. Lucky Charms has not bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Lucky Charms isn’t house broken. He isn’t bothered by the following: having his food/food bowl, toys/treats touched/moved, being moved off of furniture, being given a bath, having his nails trimmed, being brushed or if someone unfamiliar approaches the home/family member. He hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting nor has had to be held/restrained. For A New Family to Know: Lucky Charms is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy (at first), mellow & excitable (during playtime) with a low activity level. Lucky Charms loves to sleep. He follows the owner around when they’re home. Lucky Charms enjoys ball toys and games of fetch & chase. He’s mostly an indoor dog who’s walked 3x a day, sleeps in his crate & eats wet & dry Beneful 2x a day. Lucky Charms isn’t housebroken but is well behaved when left home alone. His known commands are “sit” & “jump”. Intake Behavior: Lucky Charms allowed all handling. He had a loose wiggly body and allowed to be scanned (+), collared & taken pictures of including positioning him during his photo session. Lucky Charms didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held and was placed into a kennel with ease.

Lucky Charms walks calmly on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Lucky Charms was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He was not interested in toys. Lucky Charms does not approach other dog, attempts to exit. Lucky Charms was surrender to us. Lucky Charms family described him as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy (at first), mellow & excitable (during playtime) with a low activity level. Lucky Charms enjoys ball toys and games of fetch & chase. Around strangers he is friendly and outgoing. He’s lived with children ages 9, 11 & 15yrs old and he’s gentle, exuberant, relaxed & playful with them also with the adults in the home. There are also turtles & birds in the home though he hasn’t interacted with them. He isn’t bothered by having his food bowl, toys touch or move”. Lucky Charms did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that he can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog.
