02/26/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: His name is confounding, but this dog is easily understood and described with the simplest of language: Kind. Gentle. Dear. Mellow. Affectionate. Beautifully-mannered. Dare we say…perfect? We think we can! We fell hard for this love of a boy and know you will, too. He’s had such a rough time of it up until now, judging from the way he looks (he would benefit from a warm bath and many warm meals) and yet his kindness is unparalleled. He wags his tail at dogs and people as he walks along, and we both pretend one of the affectionate passers by will be his future owner. Please, don’t let this angel be passed by any longer!

02/25/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
JR engages in bouts of plays with males and females. He makes intent to mount females during interaction, but has responded well to correction for other dogs. Based on observation made on JR during playgroup, the behavior department feels that JR would do best in a home with another playful dog- but a pre-adoption interaction is recommended to ensure compatability with a resident dog. JR arrived into our care as a stray so in home behaviors with dogs are unknown. When off leash with other dogs, JR engages in bouts of play, but also has the intent to mount. 2/27 update: JR is a bit sexually motivated, but he is more interested in engaging in play. He runs through the pens and will jump on the other dog during play. He responds well to correction for mounting. 3/1 update: JR engages in bouts of play with males and females but makes some attempt to mount the female. 3/2 update: JR mostly displays sexually motivated behavior and persistantly attempts to mount a female today.
