04/18/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Have you always wanted to bond with your dog over a mutual love of anything bacon? Well then Lucine is your complete canine companion! Surrendered because his owner, who originally found him as a stray, could no longer keep him in his home, Lucine was left with a glowing resume, including his adoration of the piggy treat. Truth be told, Lucine was perfectly satisfied with the plain old milk bones I had to offer him, sitting, staying, and posing for pictures for them. It’s clear Lucine has more qualities to help him hit it off with his new family than his snack preference. He seems very housetrained, and pulls strongly on the leash, presumably to relieve himself. In the yard he was just as his owner described: playful, friendly, tolerant, loving and relaxed. Lucine has spent time with both dogs and cats, is playful with them and tries to lay on them. He loves to get baths and belly rubs, and when he isn’t getting the attention he thinks he deserves, he will rip up paper into little pieces. The name Lucine means “moon” and I am sure he will feel like he’s over it if you ask to meet him. He’s at the Brooklyn Care Center waiting for you today.
