04/18/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/18/16 08:40 Upon intake dog was very playful and eager to meet everyone. His stance was loose/wiggly, mouth slightly open (grin-like), and tail wagging rapidly. He allowed to be collared, rubbed, and scanned for a microchip (result negative).
04/30/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: It’s not hard to see how this guy got his name — what a dreamboat! The stocky, dark and handsome type. He is strong and could polish his leash manners, but his excitement about being outside is contagious. He seems to have housetraining, will “sit” for treats, and has even been used to greet new dogs in playgroup! He’s very wiggly and engaging. He seems familiar with fetch (and easily lets me take the toy from him) and definitely well-versed in cuddling. He’ll crawl into my lap, threaten to go belly up, and gives kisses. Loverboy is still single and ready to mingle at Brooklyn ACC — he’d love to meet you there!
04/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Loverboy came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Loverboy was very playful and friendly, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Loverboy came into the assessment room loose and wiggly with high energy, he was friendly and playful towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Loverboy was distracted and focused on other objects during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Loverboy was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Loverboy tends to pull very strongly on the leash we recommend a harness would fit best for him when going on his daily walks. Loverboy appears to be a high-energy dog that will likely do best with an adopter prepared to provide mental and physical stimulation and appropriate outlets for his energy. The behavior department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft but distracted. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Loverboy greets and is bouncy, engaging in play when solicited.

Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Loverboy greets and is bouncy, engaging in play when solicited. 4/24 update: Loverboy was a greeter dog today due to his past behavior in playgroup. He was high energy when greeting, with a low wiggly body. He became pushy with certain females and overwhelmed them with his energy.
