04/22/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/22/16 20:30 Lovely is a 6 year old spayed American Pit-Bull terrier. She was given to owner as a gift and is currently being surrendered into our facility due to owner having personal problems. There are no known health injuries or concerns. With strangers she is friendly and plays gently with adults. She lived with a newborn baby and is relaxed around her, and is gentle when interacting. She has spent time with the neighbor’s Pit-Bull male and is playful with him. With other dogs she is aggressive will bark and attempt to lunge. She has been around cats and is relaxed and playful. There is no known history of biting another person; has been in an altercation with another dog; not within the last 10 days. (See Behavior Memo) Towards other dogs she is aggressive. During storm and fireworks she isn’t bothered. You are able to touch her food bowl while she is eating and take treats or objects away from her. Isn’t bothered when being bathed, having her nails trimmed not coat being brushed. When unfamiliar people approach you or the home she isn’t bothered and is friendly. Lovely is described as being friendly, affectionate, and playful with a high activity level that will do well in a family home. She likes to play tug and fetch. She was mostly kept indoors and slept in a cage with a open door; she was free fed Purina dry food. She is house trained and rarely had any accidents within the home. When left alone in the home she may bark but is well behaved; however when left alone for a long time she will potty indoors. She knows such commands as “sit” when she wants to listen. For exercise she goes for walks and will only pull when she sees other dogs. She usually will potty on the cement. During intake all handling was allowed from counselor Lovely presented a very loose body and wagging tail was able to scan (positive), collar and photographed.
