Medical Summary scan neg ~4yrs, female S/O: BARH. Active, attention seeking, allows all handling. BCS 2/9 EENT: Moderate dental tartar, eyes clear, significant tear staining, no nasal discharge, ears wnl HL: Normal thoracic auscultation, no murmurs/arrhythmias, lungs clear ABD: Normal abdominal palpation INTEG: Significant matting of distal limbs, worst at left front limb — matting has caused strangulating lesion with significant swelling and bleeding/oozing from antebrachium region MS: Non-weight bearing on left front limb UG: Intact female A: Strangulating lesion from matting on LFL causing swelling and lameness P: Administered hydro 0.13ml IM and convenia 0.27ml SQ. Needs shave down of limbs (likely sedated) to fully determine extent of injury. Good prognosis with appropriate treatment and care Sedated shave by LVT: Deep circumferencial wound around distal antebrachium and metacarpals with exposure of fragemented metacarpal bones. Radiographs show boney lysis of digits with significant necrosis of digit 4 and complete absence of digit 5 Soft bandage placed over distal LFL Likely to require amputation of LFL vs sigificant reconstructive surgery. All other limbs shaved down and appear WNL Continue with hydro 0.13ml IM q12 x 3 days. Rec hospitalization for wound care/treatment Good prognosis with appropriate care
