noticed 2 episodes of vomiting. Objective: P = 90 R = 8 BCS: 4/9 (difficult to assess with hair matting) EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: severe dental disease with halitosis and oligodontia, gum recession and severe gingivitis
PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: FS MSI: Ambulatory x 3, missing left thoracic limb, skin free of parasites. diffusely hair matting; no evidence of strangulating hair matts on limbs. long nails on all digits. bilateral MPLs (L>R) CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. Rectal: grossly normal Assessment: geriatric FS Small breed dog
1. halitosis with severe dental disease 2. severe hair matting and long nails; offensive odor
3. bilateral MPL 4. hx of left thoracic limb amputated 5. vomiting. Prognosis: poor to good Plan: 1. Cerenia 5mg (0.5ml) – given during intake. 2. full bloodwork
