Dog displayed loose body. She allowed counselor to collar her and pick her up. She followed counselor on leash, very slowly.

Client came in on behalf of 85 year old friend and owner of dog who wished to surrender. Counselor called owner during intake. Owner was aware that dog was here and wanted to surrender, but was unable to answer questions about the dog- a spanish speaking counselor may be able to take a profile from her, but she was very elderly and might just have trouble understanding.

Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands.
Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, her tail is between her legs, body tense, mouth closed.
Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash slowly, body low and a bit fearful.
Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds.
Toy: 1. No interest.
Summary: Lolita displayed no concern during her behavior assessment.
