01/13/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
01/13/17 12:45 Lola came in as a stray. On intake, the counselor asked her to sit and she sat and counselor was able to put collar on her. She then walked nicely with counselor to area to take her picture but did not sit when asked to again. She did stay still for pictures. Counselor went to pet her head and back and Lola allowed. However, when it came time for vaccines, counselor went to bear-hug Lola to see how she would do and she began to growl.

01/17/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray Other notes: Upon intake Lola allowed some handling though became uncomfortable with up close handling, growling and snapped at the counselor. SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/21/16 Due her current medical condition/health status, Lola is not an appropriate candidate for a SAFER assessment at this time. The behavior department believes Lola would benefit best from placement with a New Hope Rescue who can meet her needs medically and then assess behavior once she is in a stable environment. Force-free, reward based training is advised when introducing/exposing Lola to new and unfamiliar situations. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 11/19/16 During her initial medical exam, Lola appeared tense/nervous and struggled throughout. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: New Hope Only _X_Place with a New Hope partner ( The behavior department believes Lola would benefit best from placement with a New Hope Rescue who can meet her needs medically and then assess behavior once she is in a stable environment.)
