02/03/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
02/03/16 17:44 Behavior during intake: As soon as the dog came into the care center he saw another dog in the lobby. He began to bark and growl. We had the dog come in through the back door to try to calm him down. I did not collar or photograph this dog. Basic Info: Locksley is a one year old male Labrador and Shepard mix. His former owner got him from a friend when he was a small puppy. Locksley was turned into MACC because his former owner doesn’t have the time to care for him the way he needs. Locksley was last seen by a vet about three months ago. Socialization: Locksley can be very friendly with strangers when there aren’t any other animals around. He does NOT like other animals. He will bark at them and try to lunge at them. The dog has never been around cats or children. Behavior history: He has never bitten another animal but he has bitten his owner on the hand. The owner was moving the dog’s food bowl and he very quickly bit him on the hand and released. This happened about four months ago. He does not like his bowl touched while he is eating. Locksley is well behaved when he is left alone at home. He likes the bath and he will try to drink the water. If someone unfamiliar comes close Locksley will bark until he gets to sniff them and become familiar. For a new family to know: Locksley is described as a friendly and very excitable dog. He has a high level of energy. When his owners are home he likes to follow them around or be in the same room with them. This beautiful boy really loves to chase balls and chew on bones. He has been kept mostly inside but he had a back yard at his former home. Lockley loves his wet food and almost any brand will do.
