09/12/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/12/16 17:36 Lobster was brought into the ACC as a stray. He waited patiently for counselor’s to do his intake, laying on the ground and watching them intake a cat in the next room. Lobster was happy to accept treats from counselor’s hand. He allowed for petting on his head. Lobster displayed loose body, open mouth, and wagging tail. He listened when counselors told him to “sit” or “drop it”. Counselor attempted to take him outside for pictures, but when he started to walk through the door he tensed up and began to bark. He sniffed counselor’s hand, but continued barking and attempted to walk backwards into the ACC. Counselor walked back inside with him and he immediately displayed loose body and wagging tail again. He listed to “sit” and “stay” for pictures inside. He did attempt to mount counselors twice, but listened when they said “down”.
09/17/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Don’t be fooled by the name: This is a noble, gorgeous, elegant dog who needs no special handling! With his white bobby socks, amber eyes, and easy demeanor, Lobster had seduced three volunteers into taking him to the park in a span of a few hours just to be in his company. He did a stand-up job on his behavior test, proving amenable to people and sharing his toys, and he takes it a step further on his walks, proving that he also has “sit” and “paw” down pat. He’s a nice walker on a leash, and while he certainly doesn’t need three walks in as many hours, he is most eager for the companionship and consistency of affection that would come with a forever family! Another volunteer writes: Breathtakingly gorgeous, Lobster also has the personality credentials to go along with his good looks. Good on leash (he pulls a bit from time to time), he wins me over with his sit, his shake paw and how gently he takes a treat. A couple of well placed kisses and cuddles seal the deal and I’m officially a fan of this good looking boy. His coat gleams with good care, his weight is perfect for his size and it’s clear he was a cherished companion before joining us. He did well on his first playdate engaging in bouncy play when solicited. He wowed our behavior team as well as the volunteers who’ve met him, so come add your voice to the chorus of Lobster fans and make him a part of your family today.
