11/12/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
OFFICER BAUTISTA SAID THAT HE WASN’T PRESENT WHEN THE DOG WAS BROUGHT INTO. HE SAID THAT FELLOW POLICE OFFICERS WHO WERE PRESENT WHEN THE DOG WAS BROUGHT INTO THE 40TH PRECIENT SAID THAT THE DOG WAS CALM. I WITNESSED WHILE THE DOG WAS IN THE CRATE IN THE LOBBY OF MACC THAT SHE GROWLED A LITTLE BIT. BUT SHE ALSO WHINED.
11/15/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: A peanut of a little gray girl wearing a white mask as if she’s off to a Viennese masquerade ball. If invited, she’s ready! We’re out the door quickly, as Miss Lexi needs to potty, and when she’s done we’re off to the park, Lexi walking perfectly on leash. Posing nicely for photos, and enjoying some reward treats, Lexi watches me watch her as I take pictures. She wags her tail gently as we make friends, and while she doesn’t yet solicit petting from me, she accepts it. In a backyard pen off leash, Miss Lexi is more interested in exploration than she is in balls or toys, and comes over to me for more treats. Lexi looks like she’s been a mom several times and is ready to give up that life for the life of a pampered pet. When I took the leash down off the peg, Lexi got bouncy excited, as to her a leash means ‘I’m going out’. Sadly, in this case it meant she was going in, but I’m wishing her a lifetime of leashes being taken down to take her out. Will you make my dream for her come true?
