05/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lester was difficult to remove from his kennel in the back of the kennel with a fearful body language showing teeth. Once he is safely removed from his kennel he walks with a fearful body language. Lester was stiff and did not show social behavior during the assessment. He was uncomfortable with handling snapping at the assessor’s hand. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Lester was not interested in toys. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. Snap Toy 1: No interest. Playgroup Notes: When off leash with other dogs, Lester mostly keeps to himself. When greeted by a select male dog, he follows and attempts to mount them.
