12/01/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/01/16 18:35 Basic information: Lego a roughly 2 yr. old Chihuahua mix was brought in as owner surrender. The Owner got her from a family member as a gift; he has owned Lego for over 2 yrs. The owner surrendered Lego because the owner moved to an apartment that does not allow dogs. Lego has never been taken to a vet. Socialization: Around strangers Lego is very fearful and defensive. Lego has not lived with children. He has never been around other dogs or cats so the owner has no idea how Lego would behave around them. Lego has never bitten anyone. Behavior: The owner stats that Lego is not bothered when some moves his food or treats while he is eating, when someone takes his toys away or when someone disturbs him while sleeping. Lego likes to be brushed and given bathes but has never had his nails trimmed. When an unfamiliar person or animal approaches a family member or his home he growls and barks at them. The owner does not know how Lego is around loud noises such as storms or fireworks. For a new family to know: The owner describes Lego as shy but friendly with a medium activity level. His favorite activity is to walk with his owner. In the home Lego tends to follow the owner around the house and is kept mainly indoors. Lego sleeps in the floor of the bedroom on a dog bed. Lego was fed name brand dry and wet dog food two times a day. He is house trained and has never had an accident in the home, when outside he goes to the bathroom on or around trees and grass. For exercise Lego is used to brisk walks on the leash and twice a day and does not pull on the leash. Behavior during intake: Lego was very tense with stiff body and tail tucked, when approached by staff Lego growled barked at the staff member, the owner was able to assist us, scanned (-), collared and placing in dog kennel.
