01/09/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lazro was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth, growling and lunges at the rope. He did not show any social behavior. Once he was out Lazro avoids eye contact and freeze. It may tremble and keep distance between it and the person with his head lower than his back. he was intolerant of handling growling and snapping at the handler. The behavior team decided to place him back in his kennel he was difficult to handle. Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Lazro is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
