She stood up and hugged my leg for me to pet her. She tolerated all petting. She allowed to be scanned(+) and collared and she sat for photographs. She is very playful and jumped up and down when excited. She was walked to the back and transferred into a kennel.

02/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Layla pulls a bit on the leash. She stands tall and makes direct eye contact during the look she gives a low growl, exposes her front teeth and preparing to lunge forward to the handler. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Layla showed some concerning behavior during toy tests – stiffening and growling, but did not escalate to a snap or bite to the assess-a-hand. She rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Layla was surrender to us. According to her previous owner Layla is very playful and outgoing with strangers. She likes to stand up and hug people’s legs. She plays exuberantly with children. She lived in a home with a 2, 4, 8 and 12 year old. She loves to play with children. She plays well with big dogs but is shy around smaller dogs. She has not been around cats. The owner also mentioned that Layla is not bothered when having her food bowl, toys or treats taken away from her”.Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. Dog freezes, growls and tries to bite. Food: 4. Dog freezes and growls. Dog – dog 2. Dog approaches the helper dog by rushing in with her tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, and lip long. Helper:A1063939
