11/20/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Sabrina stole my heart the first time I met her, has made me fall more in love with her with each subsequent meeting, and lingers on my mind during all the time between! She is sometimes a little loud and seems anxious in her cage, but outside reveals that she has the softest personality. She is very easy to handle on leash and seems housebroken. She was brought to Care Center by the police, huddled in a crate with another dog that she was found in a yard with. Though it seems she’s used to living with another, she seems a little unsure about all of the strange dogs around her now. Sometimes she is very wiggly, sometimes she barks, and sometimes she whines. Other things seem to make her a little nervous too. Occasionally she needs to be coaxed through doorways, two men carrying a big box behind us sent her tail up towards her belly, and on a very windy day you would think Chicken Little was constantly shouting in her ear! However, she seems to take great comfort in human company. When I bring her in the yard she sniffs around and explores, but very frequently checks in. She’ll sit in front of me, put her two front paws on my knees (without putting any weight on me), and give me the sweetest look. When I invite her to join me on the bench she presses her way behind my back and rests her head on my lap. She’ll roll over for belly rubs, let me cradle her like a baby, and diligently gives kisses (both on my face and my hands). She is so incredibly gentle in all of her displays of affection and each and every one seems sincere — she is so, so sweet! Being around Lass will give you warm fuzzy feelings, please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
