06/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Larry walks calmly on leash. He was sociable toward the handler but Larry became uncomfortable during the assessment. He was stiff and showed some concerning behavior during the handling items of the assessment. Larry stands his ground, growling at assessor during the tag interaction. He was not interested in toys. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 4. Dog holds eye contact while remaining motionless with ears forward. His body is stiff and becomes stiffer as assessment progresses. Sensitivity: 3. Dog stands tall and square. His tail perpendicular to spine, mouth closed for the majority of assessment item. Tag: 5. Dog growls Toy: 1. No interest.
