11/12/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Kind, affectionate, and loving, are just a few words that describe Lantern. Lantern is well kept, with a rich, glossy coat, and beautiful light brown eyes. He’s a real gem. Lantern has shown extreme patience in the shelter. He always waits his turn to go outside, without the usual barking and jumping that sometimes happens when volunteers arrive to walk the dogs. With age comes wisdom, and Lantern has shown that life is nicer, when in the company of other dogs. He appears to get along with all types of dogs. One of his favorite things to do, is just sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and sun. Lantern is low key and calm, and doesn’t have any problem when it comes to just relaxing outside. I really enjoy his company at the shelter, and I’m sure you will also. Lantern is a one of a kind dog! Another volunteer writes: I was so excited to meet Lantern, as I had heard so many nice things about him. When I walk over to his kennel, he immediately stands to greet me with a wagging tail. I leash him up and we head to the yard. Lantern did his business immediately and then I had his full attention. He nudged me for pets and rubs and sat in my lap (only after I invited him, how polite!!). Lantern was happy to see the other dogs out for a walk, and enjoys playgroup. If you’re interested in adopting Lantern, come to Staten Island ACC and meet him.
