Medical Summary DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: ~10-12 years Microchip noted on Intake? negative History : stray Subjective: BAR Observed Behavior – very sweet. A little nervous for medical handling so muzzle was placed but behaved well and did not try to fight. P = wnl R = eupneic BCS 4/9 EENT: Eyes have nuclear sclerosis ou but no d/c, ears have mild waxy debris au, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: severe dental disease PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: MN MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, several small 0.5cm-2cm dermal masses, diffuse matting especially on ventrum and caudally, LHL has a lick granuloma on medial tarsus CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Severe dental disease Geriatric Matted Lick granuloma on left tarsus Several small dermal masses Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC Rec sending sample of masses to lab for histopathology Shave haircoat Start benadryl 2.2mg/kg PO BID If no improvement of skin in 7 days rec double down flea treatment, e-collar, +/- abx +/- steroids Rec full bloodwork since geriatric Prognosis: good SURGERY: neutered
