Lady A1071463 is a 12yr old female white & black Japanese who was given to the owner as a gift from a friend 12yrs ago and is being surrendered due to no time. Her last vet visit was in late 2015 and she currently has no known health issues, although her eyes appear red/irritated at the moment.
SOCIALIZATION
Around strangers Lady is friendly/outgoing. She’s been around children ages 4 & 6yrs old and was gentle, exuberant & playful with them and the owner. Lady hasn’t lived with or been around other animals and ignores animals she sees on the street. Lady hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal.
BEHAVIOR
Lady hasn’t had the following done to know her behaviors: having her food/food bowl, toys/treats touched/moved, being moved off of furniture or being disturbed while sleeping/resting. She isn’t bothered by the following: having her nails trimmed, being bathed or being held/restrained. If someone unfamiliar approaches the home/family member Lady will bark to alert the family of visitors or ignore them.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW
Lady is described as friendly, affectionate & mellow with a low activity level. She enjoys lounging. When the owner is home Lady will follow them around sometimes. Lady doesn’t have toys. She’s a mostly indoor only dog who is house broken & will “go” on wee wee pads, she is also walked 1-2x a day where she doesn’t pull on her leash. She slept on a dog bed in the kitchen and eats wet Pedigree dog food if she’s really hungry but mostly eats home cooked human food (chicken, rice & beans) 1-2x a day. Lady doesn’t know any commands.
INTAKE BEHAVIOR
Lady allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (+), collared & taken pictures of. She was then picked up/carried and placed into a kennel with ease. She is a sweet, easy going girl that doesn’t mind being picked up out of her kennel. She will lay on your lap or shoulder without a fuss.
