Lady
Hello, my name is Lady. My animal id is #9354. I am a desexed female white dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 10-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving – no pets allowed.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: It’s clear Lady lived with a family who loved her: she’s pleasantly plump, and her coat is as soft as the finest velvet, and our vet noted her clean teeth! Surrendered to our care by the only family she’s ever known as they are moving out of state, we’re told that she lived with a child and was playful and always around him, loves to play with kongs and will carry one around the house with her, doesn’t guard her stuff, is “very housetrained”, and hates, just hates riding in a car. Easily leashed for her walk, Lady pulled a bit at first until she found the right spot on which to potty, and after that was lovely on leash. In the park, she wagged her tail at little dogs passing, and bounced at bigger dogs. Lady wasn’t thrilled posing for photos, as there were more interesting things to do in the park than standing still for me. Got it! Some gentle kisses and snuggles sealed our friendship. Lady has a lot to adjust to, and is doing the best she can. A new family to love will make her heart sing and her tail wag, so come meet our Lady today.
