Lacey
Hello, my name is Lacey. My animal id is #16978. I am a female black dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 26-Dec-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving – no pets allowed.
Lacey is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Coplex, which is contagious to other dogs. Behaviorally, we have no concerns for Lacey, whom we believe would be suitable for most homes.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Lacey is an adorable little gal who could almost fit in your bag. She is with us for no fault of her own and comes with excellent credentials. Lacey is at her door. She is a very sociable and active pooch and does not belong to a kennel. Once out in the street, she does her business right away and strolls really nicely around the block, hoping to meet more unclose the dogs we near. Free in a pen, Lacey is one bouncy cutie, all tail wagging and displaying a big smile on her face. As staff and other volunteers join us, she is even happier. The more, the merrier…. Bring a ball and she will be even more excited, prancing through the pen, running and jumping after the ball and unmistakably, catching it. No guarding involved. Lacey has been well cared for, not only physically but being a family pet living with a child and another dog, she has developed great social skills and a sunny and loving personality. In addition, she shows great resilience. allowing her to reproduce in our walls the skills she learned in her former home. Lacey is a little ebony star, a black diamond . Let her shine over your family and your home. Come to the Manhattan Care center and adopt her as your forever best friend .
