10/31/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/31/16 15:11 Labrynth is a seven month old American Pit Bull Terrier who was surrendered because her owner was moving to no pet housing. She was described as friendly and outgoing by her previous owner. During intake, Labrynth licked counselor while wagging tail. She had a loose body, and jumped gently onto counselor’s lap. Her previous owner stated that she was affectionate and gentle with the one year old that lived in the house. She also lived with two little dogs, who she liked to play with exhuberantly. Labrynth is completely house trained and previous owner stated that she doesn’t have accidents. When left home alone for a long time, she is happy to play with her toys. Previous owner said that Labrynth will growl if someone tries to take away her food, but that she does not mind if someone takes away a toy. She allows for baths and brushing, and will not react if someone knocks on the door. Labrynth has a medium activity level. She loves to follow her owner around the house. Labrynth is used to dry food, and takes walks on the leash 2-3 times a day.
11/04/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Labrynth is a lively little girl, a babe at 8 months of age. She was left with us because her owners moved to a place not allowing dogs. She is all puppy, erring on the more spicy side as she is quite energetic, enthusiastic, silly, naughty and ready for all adventures you might propose to her. Labyrinth got some elements of basic training. She walks rather well on the leash, does her business fairly rapidly after exiting the care center, sits on command and for treats, seems to love to meet other dogs, and does not take me for a ride when she sees a pigeon. She enjoys toys, balls and to play tug of war without guarding. She jumps and can be mouthy. A firm “no” is a clear message to her, and she stops almost at once. Labyrinth is having fun being in the company of humans as well as dogs (in playgroups with her peers, she is exuberant and solicits rough and wrestling play) and wags her tail non stop. Her owner made great comments about her. Although she lived with adults only, Labyrinth is known to be welcoming of strangers, gentle with children, and friendly to her own kind. She would not like her food to be taken away from her. Labyrinth has been beautifully cared for. She is healthy, enjoys a great weight, and wears a beautiful golden dress. She is an adorable and frisky little tomboy with the heart of a girl. Labyrinth is a puppy who needs a new home, a new owner and still a teacher who will perfect her already existent training. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center. Labyrinth is dreaming to be your forever best friend.
