A volunteer writes: With ears that kiss at the top, and eyes that look into her soul, there is no beauty greater than that of Kyra, both inside and out. Surrendered to our care when her person lost her home, Kyra is up front in her kennel ready to make some new friends. Showing off her housetraining skills, and her fabulous leash manners, she checks up often as we head to the park for some photos. She’s a super model, posing for the camera like a pro, then shaking both paws and gently enjoying her reward treats. She’s a beauty who has clearly enjoyed the best of care before joining us again. She’s a lover, a kisser, a gentle companion who also loves to romp in exuberant play with both males and females in group. Kyra is a fantastic little girl who is looking out at you to offer her a new home, forever and ever. What a fabulous addition she’ll be to any family. Meet her today.

During her initial medical exam, Kyra was playful and allowed handling.
ENERGY LEVEL:
We have no history on Kyra so we cannot be certain of his behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)

“How do you like my ears?” Ruby’s ears, coupled with her cool grey eyes, make her a stunner who’ll always stand out in a crowd! Free in the backyard, it’s hard not to smile at Ruby as she scampers and play bows with glee, joyful to be outside and delighted to be with her human friend. She’s a delight at the park, walking like a grown-up, checking in often and passing other dogs with quiet tranquility. Being charming seems to be part of her nature, as she settles next to me on the park bench, staying there quietly as people and other dogs pass by us. Surrendered to our care because her family was moving, we’re told that Ruby has lived in harmony with other dogs and children, knows several commands, gets along well with strangers and is calm around other animals who are not part of her household. Engaging and endearing, young Ruby might need a bit of care at the moment to reach her potential, but she’s so worth it! So, invite Ruby into your family today and spend that little extra time to make her the gem of your life!
A volunteer writes:
Long legged, elegant, sophisticated looking… and those ears! It’s hard to take Ruby seriously when her eyes dance, her ears come together crowning her gorgeous head, and she’s nuzzling me for kisses and hugs. She pulls a bit on the leash during our walk, but she’s so stunning, and still a youngster, that all is forgiven. We stopped for some pictures, for which she poses perfectly, making soft eye contact as I snap away. Her tail wags, her face smiles, treats are taken gently, and she loves coming in my lap for some hugs and kisses. Shelter staff nominated Ruby as one of three contestants for their upcoming Pit Bull Prom Queen competition – what an honor!! Ruby is looking for a new family ready to welcome her and help her grow into the rockstar adult she is destined to be. Are you ready to meet our Pit Bull Prom Queen nominee and make her forever yours?
