01/02/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Blue is a pure hit of sweetness in every category imaginable. An owner surrender, the owner reported that Blue has lived playfully and respectfully with three children ages 2-9, he is housetrained, he is kind to all strangers and friends, he knows his basic commands, sleeps in an open crate at night, loves to play fetch, and is a delightful member of a dog run community. We are equally wowed by this little guy at the shelter, swooning with delight over the pleasure of his silly but well-mannered company He’s great on a leash, totally chill when other dogs walk by or near him, and so incredibly friendly that as much as we would love to take credit and say it’s because he loves us so much, he just loves everyone. Please give Blue a chance to love one family more than any other; you’d be so lucky if it was yours! Another volunteer writes: There is a pattern here…Blue is at his third stay with us…. each time…with the arrival of a new baby (and yes, a new addition to a family is cause for joy but also a lot of stress), Blue is relinquished to us. Blue is not happy… He is an adorable munchkin, very medium size, all toasty and with a scrumptious chocolate dipped muzzle. Blue is a super friendly, very lively little guy who likes to play ball, tug of war and with toys. He wags his tail non stop and gets back a smile when he is in company. Then, he comes on the lap and gives kisses galore. Blue has been my date, 3 nights in a row and I am ready for a 4th unless you decide to replace me and take him home as yours, all yours. You have our blessing, we so want Blue to have an owner or a family he can count on. Blue is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be your forever best friend.
