I am a female br brindle am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/12/2016 from NY 11223, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/18/2016 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 4 NC – SEVERE CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is AVERAGE, Weight 48.8 LBS.
11/18/16 Severe diarrhea S/O: QARH. Attention seeking. Decreased appetite. Watery light brown diarrhea in cage and on walk EENT: Eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge H/L: No coughing or nasal discharge M/S: Intermittent toe-tapping, mostly non-weight bearing lameness LH A: Diarrhea – rule out stress vs parasites vs other P: Rec metronidazole 375mg po q12 x 5 days. Continue to monitor while at bacc. Rec orthopedic consult with placement. Good prognosis with appropriate treatment and care 11/16/16 Recheck lameness – Day 3 of Rimadyl/Tramadol O: BARH. Eating well. MS: Toe touching lameness left hind, will put leg down when standing but immediately picks it up when starts to walk. Subjectivley seems less painful. A: Lameness, no change in symptoms. P: Continue current treatment with Rimadyl and Tramadol. Good prognosis with appropriate management.

KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/15/16 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Flank Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog does not respond at all. Toy: 1. No interest. Summary: Due to Kylee’s medical condition/status, a limited assessment was performed. Kylee was friendly and affectionate towards the assessor, she displayed no behavior concerns. PLAYGROUP: Kylee was brought in as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown.Due to an injury to Kylee’s left hind limb we kept her playgroup session short and the helper dog was kept on leash to limit the possibility of creating further injury. Kylee was able to move around the pen on three legs and did greet the other dog with a soft, but nervous and tucked body. She relaxed some after greeting the dog then explored the yard for the remainder of the time outside. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 11/15/16 During her medical examination, Kylee was appeared a bit tense but allowed all handling. ENERGY LEVEL: Kylee displays a medium to a high activity level in the care center. Kylee was brought in as a stray so her past behavior around other dogs is unknown. 11/13: Due to an injury to Kylee’s left hind limb we kept her playgroup session short and the helper dog was kept on leash to limit the possibility of creating further injury. Kylee was able to move around the pen on three legs and did greet the other dog with a soft, but nervous and tucked body. She relaxed some after greeting the dog then explored the yard for the remainder of the time outside.
11/13/2016 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM
Medical rating was 3 NC – MAJOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, behavior rating was NONE
Scanned negative QARH – fearful, submissive. Allowed all handling – muzzle needed during leg exam due to pain. F~ 3 years Ears, eyes, nose, throat clear Teeth stained, mild tarter Coat dirty. No flea dirt or parasites noted. **Left hind leg non-weight bearing. No visible fractures or dislocations. Vet brought into room to examine. Will need radiographs. At conclusion of initial exam animal vomited, unsure if due to overeating, dislike of Pyrantel, pain, or fear. Scheduled to retreat on 11/14/16. Nails short NOSF
