Medical Behavior Evaluation No Initial Behavior
Medical Summary No Initial Exam stray. large ulcerated mammary tumor, calm, BCS 5/9. EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted. Oral Exam: pale gums. PLN: No enlargements noted. H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic. ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated. U/G: Large melon sized mammary mass with large area of ulcerated infected tissue. MSI: stilted gait, dermatitis on distal limbs. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. MGT. Plan: clavamox 375mg bid x 10d (1st dose given). rimadyl 75mg sid x 10d (1st does given). needs NH placement. Mass may well be benign (50% chance), but must be removed asap. 40.2lbs
Profile:
Basic Information: Kuras is and elderly American Pit Bull Terrier female. She was found by the police tied up in Manhattan with towels and blankets. Police stated she seemed injured when they approached her and noticed an open mass by her belly. They were able to easily walk her into their carrier. No signs of aggression were displayed.
Behavior during Intake: Kuras tolerated handling. No aggression displayed during intake.
