The King and i….I deserves only a tiny i next to this majestic dog….In love I am and I am not the only one.. He is such an easy and sociable guy with all. Kingber is one quiet bear in his lair. When I show up at his door, he seems to say: are you really coming for me? Of course, my King, we are going for a walk…Kingber is very house trained . His den is clean and he “does” as soon as we enter the street. No marking involved. He is a strong dog and pulls on the leash but it is completely manageable. He is sometimes a little stubborn and insists in checking places only of interest to him…Free in a pen, he is all mine…Even if no treats are involved. He is such a friendly character who does not know his size and weight and firmly believes that he is a tiny Poodle. Hop on my lap he comes, snuggles against my chest and bestows on me loads of kisses… I love the way he looks at me with his gentle clear eyes. Kingber can sit on command and absolutely loves treats. He is such a beggar and hard to resist….He would eat the whole two pounds of roastbeef I bought…He is fine when I say…no more .In playgroups with is peers, he rather explores the premises but in the street or across a pen, he salutes other dogs with a happy wagging tail..Kingber was found as a stray His weight is good but his coat needs work. Nothing that a proper diet and veterinary advice could not treat. He won my heart and I know he will win yours…Come and meet this magnificent and gentle giant at the Manhattan Care Center. Kingber is really waiting for you..
RE-EXAM :

BEHAVIOR:
Kingber pulls a bit on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, wagging tail. He was excited and mouthy during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. Kingber was playful, grabbing at the leash during tag interaction with a soft and wiggly body language and was easy to distract him. He mouthed without applying pressure during the paw handling. Kingber took the toy with a soft body language.
The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification.
