12/16/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/16/16 17:48 Basic Info: King A1099834 is a 1yr old male light brown AMPBT mix who was bought from someone selling puppies & is being surrendered due to no time. King was last seen by a veterinarian as a pup and currently has no known health issues. Socialization: Around strangers King is friendly/outgoing. He lived with a 1 1/2yr old and a 6yr old and was gentle, exuberant, very playful & somewhat rough with them (during play he doesn’t know his strength) also with the adults in the home. King hasn’t lived with other animals and when he spots a dog on the streets he barks excitedly and pulls the owner towards them at times. King has never bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: King is a very hyper boy. During storms/fireworks he’ll bark and or hide at times. King isn’t bothered by the following: having his food/food bowl, toys/treats touched/moved, being brushed/bathed or being disturbed while sleeping/resting. King had his nails trimmed. If someone approaches the home/family member he’ll bark as if to let you know someone has arrived. For A New Family to Know: King is described as very friendly, affectionate, very playful, confident, & excitable with a high activity level. The owner likes how friendly he is. King enjoys playing with ball, squeaky, rope toys and games of fetch & tug. He’s mostly an indoor only dog who sleeps in his crate & is walked 2-3x a day where he pulls strongly on his leash at times. King eats dry dog Pedigree food 2x a day and likes any kind of dog treats. King’s known commands are “sit”, “stay” & “come” that he doesn’t always listen to. Intake Behavior: King allowed all handling. He was very wiggly and seemed to enjoy hugs and being on your lap. King allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. King was then coaxed into his kennel with sweet talk easily.
12/19/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Last Christmas King Clown was the adorable gift his family gave themselves, a tiny bundle of wrinkles and sweetness who wanted nothing more than to snuggle, play, eat and sleep. Except for a few (ok, around 45) extra pounds he’s still all those things and a whole lot of sassy fun besides yet this Christmas there’s a big piece missing from King Clown’s life…no more family. Which is where you come in! He’d be the perfect partner for an active, outdoorsy home and would love to spend this Christmas dashing through the snow (he loves the snow), capturing a ball and leaping back into the waiting arms of his lucky adopter–you! Described as friendly, affectionate, playful and confident by his former owners, King Clown’s a happy young dude who loves to explore and he’s always up for a good game of fetch or tug. He walks enthusiastically on leash, seems very house trained and knows commands for come, sit and stay, though the latter can sometimes get a bit lost in the excitement of playtime. All this and he’s dazzlingly handsome too! King Clown formerly lived with very young kids but his energetic bounciness would be better suited to a home with older children, the more the merrier as he loves to socialize and is happy to spread his smushy-faced love around. So put on your game face and come on down, King Clown is ready to play!
