10/12/16 19:05 Basic Information: King is an American Pit Bul Terrier who was surrendered due to his previous owner having issues with his landlord and King being able to stay in his home. Socialization: Around strangers King is friendly, outgoing and plays exuberantly with children and adults. King has spent time with a child age 3 years old who he was relaxed and affectionate toward. King has lived with other dogs (small and lardge) who he was relaxed and affectionate toward. King will often try and chase cats that he sees on the street but has not interacted with one in a home setting. Behavior: King has never bitten another person or animal. King will urinate on his owner’s bed a couple times a month. King is friendly when some one touches his food or bowl while he is eating, takes a treat/toys away, pushes/pulls him off of the furniture, disturbs him whiel he is resting/sleeping, gives him a bath, or brushes his coat. King’s previous owner did nto attempt to trim King’s nails so it is unkwnonhow he will react to those events. For a New Family to Know: King is described as:firendly, affectionate, playful, confident and excitable with a medium to high energy level. When at home King will follow around his owners and likes to play with balls. King was kept indoors and outdoors and was fed dry food three times a day. King is mostly house trained and has accidents a couple of times a month. King is welll behaved when left alone at home . King knows the commands sit and stay in english and spanish. For exercise King likes to go on slow walks and dosne’t pull on a leash. King will run away if taken off leash. Intake Behavior: King allowed staff to collar, scan for a mcirochip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

FG/RG: None reported Bite history: Not reported Housetrained: King has been known to soil the owners bed/in the house. Energy level/descriptors: King is described as friendly, affectionate, confident, and excitable with an medium to high level of energy. Other notes: King is well behaved when left alone at home. King knows the commands sit and stay in English and Spanish. SAFER ASSESSMENT:10/15/16 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy 1: No interest. He displays bouncy body language as he socializes with her. He is slightly sexually motivated but does not attempt to mount. 10/16: King Cheeto met a male dog today. He greeted with a soft body, sniffed and then walked away. The rest of the time outside, he ran around, bouncy with himself.
