Medical Summary Sex: Female Scan: Negative Estimated age: 8 years based on teeth and patellar arthritis Fleas: Mild amount of flea dirt. S: Quiet, very compliant, stands still for exam and vx O: BAR-H, BCS 6.5/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: No discharge OU, AU, nose. Moderate tartar and gingival recession. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Left leg – grade 3/4 patellar luxation, moderate medial buttressing. Alopecia and thin fur on caudal dorsal abdomen and tailhead, some flea dirt visible. Many mats on left lower leg. Nails on all feet are long. Fur on face and body is unkempt. UG: Female A: 1. Fleas, tailhead alopecia 2. Dental disease 3. Patellar luxation and arthritis 4. Slightly overweight Short-term prognosis: Good P: 1. Gave 1.5 ml pyrantel and Activyl 14-22# during exam 2. Sign pt up for grooming 3. Long-term veterinary care should include dental cleaning, rads and extractions as needed, as well as management of left patellar luxation and arthritis 1088

PROFILE
Kimmya A1067730 is an approximately 5 year old Poodle Mix. She is being surrendered to the shelter because she was found outside as a stray. Kimmya was about to cross the street when the finder picked her up and took her in so that she would not get by a car. Finder stated that Kimmya was very well behaved. She allows you to take away her food bowl, water bowl or toy away. Kimmya allows you to bathe her. She allows you to carry her and pet her. she slept on a comforter on the floor. Kimmya was fed Alpo wet food. Kimmya is very house trained and goes on dirt.
BEHAVIOR
Kimmya walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Kimmya easily engages in play, body is loose and wiggly, mouth open. She was not interested in toys.
Kimmya did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home.
Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds.
Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture.
Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game.
Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.
Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw.
Toy 1: No interest.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE
Kimmya was very quiet. She allowed all handling, collaring and photos.
PLAY GROUP
When off leash with other dogs, Kimmya roams and ignores interaction.
