06/26/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Kiara is a middle aged little lady who was found wandering around by herself in the streets. We’re not sure how long she had found herself homeless, but we do know she’s resourceful! She allowed her finder to grab her and bring her to the ACC, and thus far she has been one sweet little lady!! She solicits attention from her cage with those big brown eyes and when you take her out she has a gentle demeanor. She is very food motivated (she’s much too thin!) and eager to please. Kiara walks nicely on the leash, seems like she’s had some housetraining and knows some commands. When I stopped to cuddle with her, she leaned against me, putting all her weight on me as if to say, “Thanks for letting me finally relax for a minute.” She is not reactive toward other dogs, but given her older, calmer personality, would do best with dogs that match her chiller lifestyle. I’m not certain how long Kiara has been on her journey to her forever home, but if she sounds like the gal for you, her journey could land her in a soft warm bed tonight. Ask to meet her today!
