10/21/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/21/16 11:41 Kiah A1094212 is a 6month old female brown brindle AMPBT mix puppy that was left behind after her owners moved and didn’t take her with them three days ago in the Bronx. A neighbor brought her in as they aren’t able to keep her and didn’t want something bad to happen to her as some “mean neighborhood kids” wanted to take her from them. They stated Kiah’s friendly and allowed them to bring her to our BXAC. During intake Kiah allowed all handling. She is very hyper, playful and will jump onto your lap, climb your shoulder and give you an endless amount of kisses. Kiah allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. She loves being on your lap and is a ball of fun puppy energy. Kiah drank some water and walked into the kennel on her own once I asked.
10/25/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Kiah is a quiet little gal in her kennel. She blends with the dark walls except for her amber eyes, making sure they catch mine. Out of her den, Kiah is one lively puppy. She is only six months of age and loves to be out and in company. She does her business right away, although I doubt she is fullly housetrained at this tender age. She loves treats and dances to get more. Her tiny body wiggles and her tail wags like a little tadpole in fresh water. She can sit on command. Someone must have taught her. She is friendly and sociable, very affectionate, too, without being needy. She seems to enjoy being on the lap, and kisses galore. I bet she was loved at some point. Kiah walks well on the leash, her tail floating happily above her. She is not fond of being tethered to the wall for pictures, and jumps rather than sits for treats. She likes to be free. She meets properly other dogs in the street and plays exuberantly with her peers in playgroups. She will let males know that she does not like to be mounted. A wise thing to do. Kiah is a pretty marble cake delicacy, a sweet and happy munchkin, a good puppy, all ready to jump in your life for the next fifteeen years to come. Come and meet your future new best friend at the Manhattan Care Center. She is waiting for you.
