I am a male br brindle and white staffordshire mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 02/03/2017 from NY 11212, owner surrender reason stated was ABANDON. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-087679.

KNOWN HISTORY: None 2/3/17 Intact Male, Stray Other notes: Upon intake Kenmore was social with his tail wagging, he allowed all handling. SAFER ASSESSMENT: 2/7/17 Look:1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag:2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Summary: Kenmore was very friendly and affectionate towards the assessor. PLAYGROUP: Kenmore was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around dogs is unknown. Kenmore was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around dogs is unknown. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Kenmore initially engaged in gentle, cooperative play with a female dog. With further playgroup sessions, Kenmore may attempt to mount both male and female dogs but responds well to handler interruptions and explores the pen. The Behavior Department recommends that Kenmore be placed with dogs that match his calm sociability. 2/4: Kenmore displays soft body language when greeting a novel female dog. He is slightly sexually motivated but engages in gentle play when solicited. 2/5: Kenmore greets an intact male with an assertive body posture before wandering in the pen. 2/6: Kenmore interacts briefly with a couple of female dogs, becomes assertive and slightly sexually motivated then just wanders the yard. 2/8: In a group of calm male and female dogs, Kenmore mostly keeps to himself as he explores the pen.
