A volunteer writes: Kenai can be a little timid, but he is so, so, so, so, sweet! When I first met him he was reluctant to walk on leash, but trusting enough to let me scoop him up and carry him outside. He is still a little slow on walks, like he is using his nose to make a map of this strange place he finds himself, but he certainly doesn’t pull and is attentive. He seems housebroken, “sit”s for treats, and takes them like a gentleman. He was found with two other dogs and has been very interested in dogs we’ve met in adjacent pens — wiggling and softly whining. He is on the bashful side, but very quietly affectionate and grows more outgoing each time I take him out. He has an unparalleled wiggle that is set into motion by talking to him, stays close to me when I let him off leash, likes to be petted, and will even lick my face. Everyone else might be lining up to buy a Powerball ticket, but let me tell you, the real jackpot is waiting for you at Brooklyn ACC — please come meet this very special boy today!
