A volunteer writes:  The best things in life are free but a little luxury never hurt anyone. Well it doesn’t get much more luxurious than Gucci. And while not all of us are fortunate enough to own our very own Italian, designer wares, those in the New York City area can experience the real deal any time they like. Little Gucci is top-of-the line in her gorgeous, cinnamon coat and petite enough for any sample size at just 34 lbs. But while you might want to handle your other fine possessions with the utmost care and trot them out for special occasions only, not so with our girl. Gucci is all about play and underneath this beauty’s satin exterior is a tomboy ready for fun. Plop next to her on the ground and brace yourself for kisses upon kisses as she throws her delicate white feet up on your shoulders and gives you her very best hugs. And now it’s time to explore! The city streets are Gucci’s runway and she walks them beautifully (look out, Giselle). She sticks close my by side and enjoys every moment of our walk even showing off her “sit” midway through for a treat. But the grand finale of Gucci’s show has to be our encounter with another of special shelter residents, Sir Milly Rock. Immediately upon seeing model-like Milly she bows, drops to the ground, and squeals with delight as she invites him to play. Fashions come and go and what’s “hot” today may be “not” tomorrow. But one thing will always be in style – the love of a girl like Gucci. Gucci is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan’s ACC.

August 2016: Another volunteer writes: Gucci’s ahead in the polls by a wide margin…staff and volunteers agree that Gucci has what it takes! She’s the ‘go to’ dog for hugs and good feels, and what she loves most is a good hug! Her leash manners are lovely, she’s likely housetrained, she loves to be in my lap, and when a staff person started cuddling her she was in snuggle bliss loving to be lifted up and carried around and the smile on her face was amazing. Petite, easy, gorgeous and a doll, she needs your vote to find her forever home. She’s the people’s choice for good reason…..come meet her today – your endorsement is all she needs to make her yours! A vote for Gucci is a vote for a lifetime of cuddles, love and the sweetest dog ever. Do it today!
