A volunteer writes:
Itty bitty Patrick is everything I love in a dog; confident but quiet, affectionate yet independent and breathtakingly, heartbreakingly beautiful. He’s a snowy diamond with eyes of the brightest blue and a heart of pure gold, a showstopper in every way. Snuggles and snuffling are Patrick’s favorite past times and when he’s not walking nicely on leash and taking care of his business outdoors you’ll find him cuddled up in the nearest lap doling out flurries of gentle kisses. He arrived at the Care Center with his sister and greets other pups with friendly good manners when we’re out for a walk or strolling through the halls. He knows how to sit on command and despite being underweight, he still licks treats lightly from my hand like a true gentleman. Totally cool with wearing a coat and sweet and petite enough to be carried like a baby, Patrick’s potential for beloved family doghood is boundless. This gorgeous guy is an absolute gem, meet him once and I guarantee you’ll never want to let him go…
Another volunteer writes: Wiggle, wiggle, snuggle, snuggle, wag, wag…..meet Patrick Star! Easily leashed and thrilled to be out to go potty, Pat uses his steely blue eyes to his best advantage….eyes looking deeply into mine he lets me take some pictures before putting his paws in my lap for more hugs. Lively and loving, Pat may not have had the best care in his former life, but is looking forward to plentiful food, a soft bed and a loving human by his side. His adorably pink nose, fabulous ears, and of course, those eyes speak volumes as he looks ahead. Let’s make his dreams come true.
A staff member writes: Patrick Star would love to meet his Spongebob one day! If not this year, then hopefully next year! All Kane asks for is a Spongebob who likes to cuddle & play all in one day. When in his kennel, Kane looks like he has a “snooze bubble (think: ZzzZzz)” over his head, and when playing with his other canine friends, he has a blast! What more could you ask for?? Come back Manhattan ACC to see this hunk for yourself.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (Suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
Potential challenges:
_X_Basic manners/Poor impulse control (It is recommended that default behaviors such as “Leave it”, “Sit/Stay”, “Down” are reinforced to substitute frustration and teach him to control his impulses instead of simply reacting; proper management is also advised. Force-free, reward based training is recommended.)
