I am an unaltered male, white and brown brindle Pit Bull Terrier mix.

The shelter staff think I am about 10 months old. I weigh 43 pounds.

I have been at the shelter since June 30, 2011

A volunteer wrote: Sgt Hughes is an adorable youngster who waits patiently in his cage to be taken out. He has an engaging smile and the markings on his face give him a happy look. His gaze is intense. Take me out… Take me out! Sgt Hughes loves to play ball that he retrieves and drops at my feet. He will go for more and more and more until he finally collapses. After a little break, when he showed his love for humans, we went for a stroll. Sgt Hughes is a great walker, not a puller. He heels and seems to be housetrained. He wants to play with most dogs met on the way. Back in the yard, Sgt Hughes and I sat down on the bench for a petting session. Sgt Hughes is definitively a cuddler and loves to be hugged and kissed. Sgt Hughes is truly a beautiful pup, healthy looking and well nourished. He seems like a well balanced youngster who would make a great pet. Sgt Hughes is at the Manhattan shelter!
