Jrod previously lived with 1 adult. The owner stated Jrod can be reactive towards other dogs. The owner mentioned Jrod is house trained. It was reported by the owner when Jrod is around strangers he will lower his back and wags his tail. At intake it was reported Jrod was hyper but nervous, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Jrod came into the assessment room hyper, he was friendly and social towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Jrod joins the game during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Jrod was easy to handle when engaged with the item. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Jrod barked and growled at the gate. Due to this behavior, he was muzzled before being allowed into the pen. Once in the pen, Jrod immediately lunges and growls at the greeter dog and the session is ended. The behavior department feels he can be suitable for an experience adopter and we recommend no other dogs in the household. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted.
