I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 06/27/2016 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was LLORDPRIVA.

06/27/16 21:54 Jock is a thirteen year old white American Pitbull terrier. He was surrendered by his owner due to owner moving into a facility that does not accept pets. He wa with his owner since he was a few weeks old and was a gift from a neighbor. Jock has a skin condition and was not taken to the vet. Jock has lived with three adults and five children ages four to eleven. He is descriebd as friendly and outgoing with strangers he does not engage in play. Around the children he is relaxed and will enagage in exuberant play. He has not been around other dogs or cats. He is not bothered when his food is touched while eating. He tolerates baths but due to skin condition was not bathed often. He is fearful when his feet are touched and will wiggle and lick when he is restrained. When a stranger approaches his hosue or yard ahe will bark. Jock has lived in home with a yard, he was kept mostly outdoors. His activity level is described as low to medium and he lieks to lounge and sleep. He will use the bathroom on grass and cement and knows the command sit. He does not like to play with toys, he likes to chew on bones. He eats dry food Beneful brand and his favorite treats are bones. Upon intake Jock was relaxed and had a loose body, he allowed all handling. Cousnelor was able to collar, scan (negative) and photograph.

Jock previously lived with 3 adults and 5 children ages 4 to 11 years old. The owner stated Jock is friendly, relaxed and playful towards strangers, adults and children. The owner mentioned Jock is house trained and has a low to medium activity level. At intake it was reported Jock was relaxed with loose body posture, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Jock came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, he was friendly and affectionate towards the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Jock was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Jock was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Jock appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in Toy, dog smells, then turns away. Dog-dog: When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Jock is initially sexually motivated. He attempts to mount the female greeter dog, persisting after handler interruption. He eventually is able to wander in the pen, displaying soft body language.

Scanned negative BARH – soft body, tail wags, allows all handling. Muzzle used for ear cleaning; did not object to use of muzzle. M~ 13 years Ears dirty – sensitive while cleaning. May need to clean again. No discharge noted. Eyes cloudy Nose, throat clear Teeth – ground down, several missing, heavy staining and tarter – dental disease. Underweight – did not show appetite during exam. May be related to dental disease. Alopecia behind ears, on paws, hindquarters and tail. Flea allergy dermatitis. VC requested for geriatric and medical issues Nails long – trimmed. NOSF
