Jigsaw’s finder stated the dog appears to not like other dogs & is not friendly around strangers until Jigsaw becomes familiar. Jigsaw barks & growls at strangers & other dogs. Upon intake, she displayed a low tense body & growled at the counselor. After some time, she began to wag her tail & allowed minimal handling. Scanned negative.
09/20/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Jigsaw was aptly named for the beautiful shapes all across her body (in fact, she looks a bit more like a cow than a dog!)– she even has a spot covering half of her face, making her look even more unique and handsome. Jigsaw walks perfectly on a leash, loves to give kisses, and seems housetrained. She waits patiently in her cage for walks and is a super chill walker who’s curious about people but doesn’t pull on the leash at all. She likes to explore and doesn’t seem to be reactive to other dogs. Jigsaw does sometimes get startled by loud noises, and may not be used to New York City streets– she’d do great with an adopter who has experience with dogs who are a bit fearful or anxious.
