01/06/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Who needs dessert when you’ve got Jerome? This adorable black-n-white cookie had me at hello with his sweet face and even sweeter nature as he quickly spun what had been a lousy workday into first date gold! He’s an almost-grown puppy, but delights in the innocent joys of exploring his world, and relishes even the smallest discovery from fallen leaves to fellow dogs, sniffle-snuffling everything he finds and bouncing happily around the yard with his canine pals. Jerome’s enthusiastic when outside on leash, yet still a pretty easy walker due to the frequent number of sniffing pit stops along the way. He seems to be quite house trained too, even waiting until we were over a sidewalk grate to ‘go’–clever boy! He knows commands for come and sit and licks treats gently from my hand, but by far his best tricks are the hugs and kisses he doles out to every single person he meets. When a staff member saw him posing for photos she exclaimed ‘Jerome!’ and hurried over to claim her share, holding him close as his tail wagged and wagged. Smooshy puppy loving doesn’t come in a more handsome package than this, and Jerome and his little white-slippered feet can’t wait to dance their way into your heart today!
